We’re always looking for trends in dental care, and I don’t think anyone would be surprised that dental implants are becoming increasingly popular in the United States, Canada and western Europe. One way to see how popular they’ve become is to look at the frequency of searches on Google.
This graph at Google Trends shows the relative search traffic for the term “dental implants” since 2004. It also shows the relative number of news articles about the subject, over time. Google Trends is a fun site to play with, if you’re curious about what people on the Internet are looking for.
So anyway, I was specifically curious about which cities in the United States produced the most searches for “dental implants” over the last year, and here they are:
| 1. | Las Vegas, NV, USA |
| 2. | Denver, CO, USA |
| 3. | Kansas City, MO, USA |
| 4. | Louisville, KY, USA |
| 5. | Livingston, NJ, USA |
| 6. | Phoenix, AZ, USA |
| 7. | Austin, TX, USA |
| 8. | San Antonio, TX, USA |
| 9. | Miami, FL, USA |
| 10. | Richardson, TX, USA |
We wouldn’t have guessed that Las Vegas would be No. 1, would you? Incidentally, though, we’re pretty sure Prisma has had patients from every one of these cities, over the years.

It’s always good to see fellow dentists who are providing the much needed care with dental implants and cosmetic dentistry to the rest of the world. Keep up the good work!
It’s interesting to see Las Vegas leading the pack with Google trends.
Search for dental implants or any other procedure related to dentistry has been growing quiet drastically.
There are very few clinics who have taken the lead in embracing this change. Internet is becoming a new source for patient enquirers.
Good to see your clinic being one of the leaders in promoting your practice online.
I need an implant and maybe two. I would appreciate a call to talk to someone about doing this as well as making this a vacation.
Thanks
