Prisma Dental Ranked No. 1 by Alexa

The No. 1 medical tourism dental site in the world, according to Alexa.com, is Prisma Dental. Alexa is probably the top company for measuring global Internet traffic.

See the Alexa category page for the current rankings in:

Recreation > Travel > Specialty Travel > Medical Tourism > Dentistry

Web traffic ratings can be volatile, obviously, and Prisma may not necessarily stay at the top. But below is a screenshot of the rankings for today, July 16. It is a tribute to Prisma patients around the world who refer their family and friends to our site and blog. It is astonishing, perhaps, that a dental practice in a small country like Costa Rica can draw more visitors to its web site than some in other countries; the No. 2 most trafficked site for international dentistry is that of a clinic in India; No. 3 is in Hungary; No. 4 is a U.S. company that arranges for dental work in Mexico.

I’m curious where do you get the most patients from? What kind of patients would fly from the USA to see you? TIA for your info. Katty

Hi Katty,

Prisma patients come from every area of the U.S. and Canada. More than 80 percent of all patients are from North America though they also have patients from Europe, South America and even, occasionally, the Far East, New Zealand and Australia!

Wow. Congratulations! So people actually fly over for a visit? Or do they happen to be tourists who had to see a dentist while they are in the area?

There are plenty of people who fly over just for dental work — that is a substantial part of what Prisma does and has done for 20 years.
But they also takes walk-ins. ;)
