Dental Implant: Robert from Florida
Robert is a Prisma Dental patient from Florida. We might call him “typical” — except that there is nothing typical or ordinary about the dental work Robert had in Costa Rica at the hands of Drs. Cordero and Rubinstein.
Robert had eight dental implants and 21 base metal frame crowns — basically a full mouth reconstruction. Most patients who come to Prisma Dental, of course, don’t need such extensive work. But Drs. Coredero and Rubinstein handled more than 300 cases like Robert’s every year. Implant work and full-mouth custom dentistry are Drs. Cordero and Rubinstein’s specialty and passion. Here are the before & after photos of Robert’s full mouth reconsctruction.
Below are more photos of Robert’s dental condition before Prisma Dental:
Finally, here are various photos of the finished dental work:

Wow! Its amazing. Robert got really nice teeth after a full mouth reconstruction. Its very inspirational story.
What a transformation! Its good that Robert chose to have his dental care in Costa Rica …
Really nice work, I think when implants are involved the dentist and engineers become more artists than medical professionals. That must have cost a fortune, but the long lasting results are well worth it!
Billy,
It probably didn’t cost as much as you might guess. I see by your link that you are probably from the U.K. Prisma sees many patients from the U.K. due, in part, to relatively lower costs for cosmetic dental and procedures not covered by national health care.
What was the ballpark cost of Robert’s reconstruction? How long did it take?
Hi JT,
Because each case is different, costs can vary substantially from one full-mouth reconstruction to the next depending on the work and materials involved. The dentists can give you a ballpark estimate for your own case if you like — just write to them with the details.
Generally, implant cases require two visits to Costa Rica. There is the initial implant placement, after which perhaps six months must pass before final work can be done. Prisma will work closely with you on a treatment plan from start to finish to produce the best possible results. They have handled hundreds of cases annually for many years.
I had 9 teeth replaced with beautiful caps in the USA in March, but they’re all in pain now! I can’t bite down on either side!
I live in Sicily, Italy, having retired there 4 years ago from California. Can you give me a ballpark figure for a 6 month stay, 9 implants an a flight?
I could go as early as December 1st. Iam considering a secnd home in CostaRica to take advantage of the “green months!”
Hi Pamela,
Prisma is looking forward to your visit.
It is a fact that the cost of dental surgery in US and Canada is much higher than the combined cost of commuting, staying in a hotel, dental implant and vacation in Costa rica. Here metal implants are always avoided by the professional experts in place of porcelain. Apart from this Costa rica is one of the finest tourist destination for vacation. Dental holiday in Costa rica means a very cost effective dental remedy with a nice vacation with family out of your home.
Dental surgery usually costs too high as it is a part of cosmetic surgery where as it costs less in Costa rica. Specific reasons have made it a destination for who wish to look for low cost solutions for their dental problems. Dental costa rica offers a lot of experts in endodontics and orthodontics who treats you with loyalty. Costa rica is the cost effective and also a travel destination.
